Let’s take a look and see what you get!
So, I’m not the greatest blender in the world and I’m always looking for good blending brushes to get my shadow blended correctly. This set is ALL about blending. It doesn’t contain any standard shadow brushes just blending ones and that’s exactly why I purchased it. If you wanted a variety of brushes for your eyes this isn’t the set for you but if you’re looking for a good set of blending ones you’ll be happy about this purchase.
You get nine full-size brushes and those include:
- E25 Blending Brush
- E25 Max Blending Brush
- E27 Detail Blending Brush
- E38 Diffused Crease Brush
- E40 Tapered Blending Brush
- E40 Max Tapered Blending Brush
- E45 Small Tapered Blending
- E49 Medium Tapered Blending Brush
I thought the brushes had sturdy handles and soft bristles! I always wash my new brushes but this particular set required washing for two reasons! They do smell! They have a very weird plastic, old makeup smell. The brushes are synthetic and cruelty-free and you might chalk up the scent to synthetic bristles. They just didn’t smell very good. After I washed them they were fine! The second thing was some of the brushes came with split bristles which upset me. I mean, sure, the set was super affordable but who wants split bristles? About three of the brushes came with split bristles and thankfully after I washed them I was able to straighten them. Phew!
I used the set almost daily since getting it (I got it two weeks or ago) and I’m really liking it! It’s a very good range of brushes that will tackle crease work, blending the outer corner, etc…! Plus each brush has a different shaped head, size, and bristle length so you’re pretty much covered in all areas of your blending needs. This was a great purchase at this price! Just keep in mind some of the downfalls I mentioned above though! I was able to fix those issues but I did deduct a point on my rating because of them! QVC has very few of these left so if you want it head over now! If it goes out of stock check in a few days as I’ve seen it go in and out of stock twice since purchasing it!
