As Bachelor Nation’s latest villain, at least according to some fans, it makes sense why fans want to know what happens to Pascal on The Golden Bachelorette and whether he ends up with Joan or gets his heart broken in the end. Pascal Ibgui, a 69-year-old Salon Owner from Glencoe, Illinois, was one of 24 contestants on The Golden Bachelorette Season 1 led by Joan Vassos. Joan, a 61-year-old Private School Administrator from Rockville, Maryland, was a contestant The Golden Bachelor Season 1 with Gerry Turner, where she self-eliminated in 12th place in Week 3 to care for her daughter, who had a medical emergency.
Pascal emerged as Joan’s first villain on The Golden Bachelorette after Episode 2 saw another contestant, Gregg Lassen, doing Pascal’s laundry as an apology for snoring so much. “The level of his snoring I’ve never experienced that before,” Pascal said in a confessional interview. “Great guy – I love him. And I don’t want him to leave because he does my laundry. But I need complete silence to be able to go to sleep.”

Gregg added in his own interview, “Apparently I’m a snorer but how would I know? I’m asleep when it happens! But it was very startling to wake up to a naked Frenchmen punching me – on the other hand, I can’t say it’s the first time it’s ever happened.”
Gregg also commented on how much Pascal’s clothes cost while doing his laundry, which led many fans to label Pascal as “high maintenance.” “Hell these shorts cost more than my suit…He has workout clothes that are better than my regular clothes,” Gregg said.
SPOILER: What happens to Pascal on The Golden Bachelorette?
Pascal self-eliminated in the finale of The Golden Bachelorette Season 1 because he wasn’t in love with Joan, according to Reality Steve. Though Reality Steve couldn’t confirm when Pascal sent himself home, he reported that it was either in the final two or final three.

Joan’s other finalists were Guy Gansert, a 66-year-old ER Doctor from Reno, Nevada, who came in either second or third place, and Chock Chapple, a 60-year-old Insurance Executive from Wichita, Kansas, who was the winner of Joan’s Golden Bachelorette season and received her final rose. (Reality Steve couldn’t confirm if Joan and Chock got engaged.)
Fans will likely be happy to learn that Pascal didn’t win The Golden Bachelorette. In an Instagram video of Pascal’s first one-on-one date with Joan, fans commented on how he wasn’t The One for her and gave them bad vibes. “Pascal has got to go. Definitely too into himself for Joan,” a user wrote. Another commented, “I’m not a fan of Pascal.”
