When you’re holiday shopping for one of the NFL’s biggest stars and the world’s most famous pop star, what do you get? Well, Jason Kelce‘s Christmas gifts for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have no choice but to be crafty this year!
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live on November 22, 2024, the former Philadelphia Eagles center shared his holiday shopping dilemma for brother Travis and girlfriend Taylor. The soon-to-be father of four opened up about the challenges of finding the perfect gift for a couple who seemingly has everything.
“It’s tough to shop for people that can have anything that they want,” Jason admitted to Kimmel. His solution? Going the heartfelt route with “handmade gifts, something sentimental maybe that is near and dear to them.”
And what exactly does Jason have planned? Let’s just say he’s taking inspiration from his own experiences as a dad. “I’ve got something up my sleeve this year. I think a macaroni necklace…it works on me with my kids very well,” he shared with a laugh.
When Kimmel suggested that Swift’s fans would likely start sporting pasta jewelry if she wore Jason’s creation, the NFL star playfully quipped, “Friendship macaroni necklaces, I think we just started a trend.” So, move over friendship bracelets—there might be a new accessory coming to the Eras Tour.
Speaking of family gatherings, mama Donna Kelce recently shared some holiday insights during a November 14, 2024 interview with Today. With Travis playing the day after Thanksgiving, football remains at the heart of the Kelce family’s celebrations. “Football’s family,” as Donna put it. But will Swift be joining Thanksgiving festivities? “I don’t think so,” Donna explained. “She’s kind of busy right now. She still has her tour to do.”
The interview also a peek into Jason’s exciting new venture: his upcoming late-night show on ESPN. They Call It Late Night With Jason Kelce will air Saturday mornings during the NFL postseason, starting January 4, 2025, and running through Super Bowl weekend on February 9, 2025. The Philadelphia-based show will feature a live audience, though fans shouldn’t expect to see Travis making an appearance. As Jason noted, his brother will (hopefully) be too busy playing. “Hopefully he can’t make it,” he said, a loving nod to the Chiefs’ pursuit of their third consecutive Super Bowl victory.
Now, whether or not Travis and Taylor end up with matching macaroni necklaces this holiday season, one thing’s clear: Jason might be retired from football, but he’s definitely not retiring his sense of humor!
