Are Kaz & Micah Still Together From The Perfect Match Season 2?

Warning: The Perfect Match Season 2 spoilers ahead. Every Netflix reality show has its toxic couple, and Kaz and Micah may be the couple for The Perfect Match Season 2. (Harry and Jess are also up there.) Despite their ups and downs, Micah and Kaz made it to The Perfect Match Season 2 finale. But did they make it outside of the villa?

Kaz Bishop and Micah Lussier were two of 22 cast members on The Perfect Match Season 2, which brought together contestants from Netflix reality shows like Love Is Blind, Too Hot to Handle, and The Circle as they dated and competed in challenges as couples. Kaz originally starred on Season 1 of Dated and Related, where he ended up with Diana Parsijani, whom he split from after filming ended. Micah, for her part, starred on Love Is Blind Season 4, where she got engaged to Paul Peden. The two broke up at their wedding in the Season 4 finale after Paul told Micah “I do not” at the altar.

Kaz and Micah, who matched in Episode 2 and were the longest-running couple on The Perfect Match Season 2, were one of five couples in the finale, along with Stevan Ditter and Alara Taneri; Elys Hutchinson and Bryton Constantin; Tolu Ekundare and Chris Hahn; and Christine Obanor and Nigel Jones. Kaz and Micah were not voted the winners of The Perfect Match Season 2. Instead, the winners were Christine and Nigel. Though Christine and Nigel’s win came as a shock to fans, Kaz and Micah’s loss wasn’t so much of a surprise, given the couple’s tumultuous relationship throughout Season 2.

Are Kaz and Micah still together from The Perfect Match Season 2?

Despite everything they went through together in the villa, Kaz and Micah broke up after The Perfect Match finished filming. Micah confirmed the split in an interview with People, in which she revealed that she and Kaz broke up because he simply didn’t want to be in a “real” relationship.

“I think a rollercoaster is a really good way to describe Kaz,” Micah said. “There was definitely a lot of moments that were probably seen that made it seem like there wasn’t much substance. But behind closed doors, there was an actual, real relationship. There were many, many great memories that we share that I’m happy, and I do not regret. I just don’t think that we were the right people for each other, and I don’t think that he was in a space to be someone that I could have something real with. So, just not the right time.”

Despite their breakup, Kaz and Micah appear to be on good terms. At the time of writing, they both follow each other on Instagram, though Micah hasn’t tagged in any of her photos with him throughout The Perfect Match. Kaz, for his part, also hasn’t tagged Micah.

In an interview with Today after The Perfect Match Season 2 finale, Micah claimed that she and Kaz had the most drama throughout the season because of how much other contestants saw them as a threat and tried to break them up by sending them on dates with other people. “I think, for the most part, it was probably questioning our relationship,” she said of why so many contestants chose Kaz to go on dates with other people throughout the season. “I mean, we were together the longest out of everyone in the house. So there’s probably the aspect of like, ‘Oh, there is a longevity there.’ But, at the same time, I think a lot of people didn’t really understand our relationship.”

She continued, “I think they just kind of didn’t understand that there was something of substance there and they wanted to test it. And then Kaz was just like quite easily the weak link when it came to, like, flirting with everyone and their mom and their granny.”

Kaz also told Today that he believed his and Micah’s relationship was misunderstood by the rest of The Perfect Match cast. “Everyone was talking. And some people might have gotten the wrong end of the stick, and that then led to, you know, me hearing about it, and then having to confront Micah, which then led to different arguments,” he sai. “It kind of all then (looks) like we don’t get on.” He continued, “But generally we did a lot of the time, just 5%…10…maybe 20% of the time we didn’t.”
