Nicki Minaj was swiftly released from custody on Saturday after an apparent encounter with law enforcement in the Netherlands, suspected of involvement in the export of soft drugs, as per authorities.

The renowned rapper, aged 41, faced a fine and was permitted to resume her travels, according to a translated announcement by the police just before 4 p.m.

Minaj, whose legal name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, was en route from Amsterdam to Manchester, England, for a performance as part of her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour” when the incident occurred. Scheduled to grace the stage at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester on Saturday evening, the concert had to be postponed, confirmed Live Nation UK.

“Despite Nicki’s best efforts to explore every possible avenue to make tonight’s show happen, the events of today have made it impossible,” the company said. “We are deeply disappointed by the inconvenience this has caused.”
