Pictures and a video of Rowland became viral after the singer appeared to be arguing with a security guard at Cannes. A security waved indicating for her to start walking up the stairs at the Palais des Festivals while Rowland was still waving to fans and paparazzi so that they could get a shot. A trio of security guards then made a barricade and one woman security guard escorted her up the Palais stairs hurrying her. Rowland became visibly angered, pointing her finger at the security guard. Though the audio might be inaudible, many fans have deciphered what she exactly said.

And from the way Kelly FIRST spoke I can tell she was trying to be respectful & ol girl got RUDE as the French always do so Kelly let her have H TOWN!!!”
A source close to the Destiny’s Child singer told Daily Mail that she was “advocating for herself” amid the chaos of the red carpet. “The people who are assigned to helping stars walk the red carpet were being aggressive and Kelly was trying to ignore it,” the source disclosed.
They continued, “By the time she got to the last woman she had had it because she scolded Kelly and told her to move when she was trying to wave to fans and help the paparazzi get their shot. “She doesn’t care if she comes across like a diva if she knows that she is advocating for herself. She isn’t fake and wanted to set a clear boundary.”
The incident comes weeks after Rowland walked off the set of Today after being dissatisfied with the dressing rooms. Page Six reported that the Mea Culpa star “and her team were not happy.” A source said, “They did not like the dressing room, so they decided to pull her off the show, leaving [Kotb] without a guest host for the 10 a.m. hour,” one source claimed. She reportedly played a game of “musical dressing rooms” at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, with one of the bigger dressing rooms occupied by Jennifer Lopez.
